A delegation from the Fujairah Arts Academy participates in mime workshops in Belgrade
Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Fujairah Academy of Fine Arts.
A delegation from the Department of Theater and Acting at the Fujairah Academy of Fine Arts participated in four workshops on the art of mime “physical expression” organized by the International Mime Organization in the Serbian capital (Belgrade).
The four workshops presented by a group of artists specialized in mime art from various countries of the world dealt with a number of topics, which included a workshop on physical mime presented by Professor Jorge Mascarenhas from Brazil, the second workshop “The Acting Body” presented by Professor Marko Stojanovic from Serbia, and the third was about A diverse package of mime art was presented by Professor Ofir Balam from Israel, and the fourth workshop highlighted the dancing body of the Serbian school and was supervised by Alexander Danilovic from Serbia.
His Excellency Ali Obaid Al-Hafiti, Director General of the Academy, said: The aim of the Acting Department’s participation in the Academy is to interact with international schools in theater arts and to qualify the Academy’s members in a professional framework that emulates international schools, explaining that the Academy’s external participations contribute to increasing the bonds of connection with the Academy’s strategic partners from institutions. Art, and experts in the artistic field of all nationalities, which contributes to achieving the goals of the Fujairah Academy of Fine Arts in providing the appropriate artistic climate for its members, in implementation of the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, by supporting and refining the skills of talents in various types. Al-Hafiti pointed out that last year, the Academy hosted a mime workshop in cooperation with the International Theater Association, presented by Marko Stojanovic, President of the International Mime Art Organization, which focused on training actors and talented people to simulate expressive and creative body movement, pointing out that the Academy’s work strategy focuses on diversification in Its artistic and educational programs and the creation of an artistic platform that encourages creativity for all its members.
