The Fujairah  Fine Arts Academy , in cooperation with the Fujairah Culture and Media Authority, the Fujairah Creative Center and the Fujairah Theater, is organizing a theatrical performance under the title “What is this Media,” written by Talal Mahmoud, conceived by Marwan Abdullah and directed by Saeed Al Harsh. The show will be held in the Fujairah Creative Center Theater during the days of Eid Al Fitr.

The idea of the theatrical show includes "What's the Media", which is presented in a comedic context by focusing on the impact of social media on the family, with all its negative and positive dimensions, and the extent of the isolation that befell the individual, after his phone became his companion that kept him away from his family, and The work does not focus on showing the negatives of social media, but rather highlights its positives if it is exploited in a healthy way to serve the individual and the family.

His Excellency Ali Obaid Al-Hafiti, Director General of the Fujairah Academy of Fine Arts, said that the Academy is keen to weave and consolidate its relations with its strategic partners inside and outside the Emirate of Fujairah, especially those with whom we intersect on the topics of arts and culture through joint projects and works, and the play “Show This Media” is considered part of these projects. Which reinforces and consolidates this approach.

For his part, His Excellency Dr. Saeed Ali Al Hamar Al Yamahi, Executive Director of the Fujairah Culture and Media Authority, expressed his happiness in cooperating with the Fujairah Academy of Fine Arts by presenting an artistic play that highlights the impact of social media on generations, and alerts community members to its dangers, pointing to the importance of broadcasting messages. Awareness and educating the community about them, which reflects positively on creating a generation aware of events and how to deal with them.

His Excellency Sherif Al-Awadhi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Fujairah Theater, stressed the role of theater in monitoring all societal issues and addressing them within the framework of strengthening national identity, pointing to the importance of the theatrical work that will be shown during the days of Eid, in addressing an important social issue that captures the thoughts of segments of society, especially youth and children.

His Excellency Sultan Malih, Director of the Fujairah Creative Center, said: “By hosting the theatrical work, we aim to enhance cooperation with our partners, and provide an artistic and cultural platform that attracts all segments of society in the emirate, and the Fujairah Creative Center is one of the first institutions in organizing such artistic activities.”
