Fujairah fine arts Academy participates in the Festival of Stringed Instruments and Diplomats in Cremona, Italy

The Fujairah Fine Arts  Academy  represented the United Arab Emirates through its participation in the Festival of Stringed Instruments and Diplomats held at the headquarters of the Municipality of Cremona in the presence of HE Abdulla Al Shamsi, Consul General of the United Arab Emirates to Milan, Mayor of Cremona Vito Danilo Galliardi and President of Cremona. The Festival of Stringed Instruments and Diplomats was attended by representatives of diplomatic missions from more than 13 countries (including France, Switzerland, Bulgaria, Japan, Mexico, Hungary, Switzerland, the Netherlands and Austria), as well as the guest of honor, the United Arab Emirates.

HE Ali Obaid Al Hefiti, Director General of Fujairah Academy of Fine Arts, in a speech during the opening of the festival, stressed the importance of music in the lives of peoples, through being a mirror reflecting the role of civilization, and contribute to the enrichment of thought and art, crossed all barriers between countries, pointing to the interest The UAE is characterized by stringed instruments that are characterized by the oriental music style arising from different civilizations of the East, and reflect the character of the oriental life of these peoples of different cultures.

Al-Hufiti reviewed the most important stringed musical instruments in the UAE, which is still strongly present in society, and its role in establishing peaceful character among peoples, stressing the importance of music in establishing love relations between countries

For his part, HE Abdulla Al Shamsi, UAE Consul General to Milan, explained that the UAE has put within its strategy the importance of employing authentic art to serve the community and consecrate the national identity, pointing out the importance of musical diplomacy in spreading mutual awareness among peoples and civilizations and understanding among them.

Al Shamsi stressed the importance of fruitful cooperation relations in the technical field between the UAE and Italy

The Fujairah Academy of Fine Arts presented two songs (the first love and nights of Andalusia) composed by Emirati artist Ali Obaid Al Hefiti and the participation of the teachers of the academy.

The event was organized by Professor Emmanuelle Bettini, President of the Center for Diplomatic and Federal Meetings of Diplomats and Consuls in Italy, and was held under the auspices of the European Parliament, the Ministry of Culture, the Regional Office of the Government in Cremona and the Regional Council of the Province of Lombardy as well as under the auspices of the Municipality and Region of Cremona.
