The Fujairah Academy of Fine Arts honored the participants in the activities of the Cairo International Forum for the Art of Arabic Calligraphy, which was organized by the Egyptian Ministry of Culture in cooperation with the Egyptian General Association for Arabic Calligraphy under the slogan “Teach by Pen” at the Cairo Opera House.
The academy’s participation came through 14 artistic paintings executed by its students that dealt with various topics of Arabic calligraphy while adding the spirit of contemporary art to them, especially through the use of colors in a number of paintings to add aesthetics and a distinctive dimension in form to the types of Arabic calligraphy.
His Excellency Ali Obaid Al-Hafiti, Director General of the Academy, said that the participation of the Academy’s members in the Arabic Calligraphy Forum contributes to increasing interaction with Arab artists and creators, highlights the talents of the students, and encourages them to compete positively and fruitfully, which enriches imagination and creativity in Arabic calligraphy.
Al-Hafiti valued the students’ participation as an incentive that encourages them to develop their talents and deliver their productions, which they borrowed from the teaching staff at the academy to continue their path in this fine art.
It is noteworthy that the Fujairah Arts Academy delegation included Arabic calligraphy professors Muhammad Abu Al Majd and Ahmed Adel, students Abdullah Al Yamahi, Amna Al Kaabi and Sheikha Al Kayani, and from the Dibba branch Muhammad Al Hammadi, Basma Al Dhanhani and Bashayer Al Dhahouri.
