The Fujairah Academy of Fine Arts participated in the “Culture Bridge” Festival in Seoul for the year 2023, which was organized by the Korea Foundation for International Cultural Exchange during the period from the eighth to the tenth of this September.
The festival aims to introduce Koreans to Emirati culture by organizing various cultural, artistic and tourism events to enhance cultural exchange, friendliness and friendship between the two countries.
The Academy’s participation in the festival came through presenting a group of workshops in the art of Arabic calligraphy, in which the calligrapher Fatima Al-Dhanhani participated, and a flowery pen workshop was organized, implemented by the visual artist Fatima Al-Amiri.
The two participating artists confirmed that the workshops received great interaction from the festival audience, as visitors participated in writing some words and names in the types of Arabic calligraphy, and this helped in introducing them to the beauty of Arabic calligraphy, and it was also an opportunity for Koreans to learn about Emirati culture.
