Mohamad Al-Douri
professor of violinMohamad Al-Douri is a professional musician and violin teacher who started his career in Iraq, his motherland, where he obtained his bachelor’s degree in music from Baghdad University. He worked as a violin teacher at Institute Music Art Centre for Peace in Baghdad for several years. He was a violin player at Iraqi National Symphony Orchestra, and he worked as a free lance teacher for both Arabic and Classical music.Afterwards he had the opportunity to enrich his experience by leaving for Europe, Belgium more specifically, where he obtained his master’s degree – Violin Soloist at the Royal Conservatory of Liège. He created his Arabic music group Mosaique, he is a member of oriental orchestra Picea Orientalis, he had participated in many different projects and masterclasses. He became a violin teacher of eastern and western music at Centre Culturel Arabe in Liège and continued his job as a free lance teacher for students of all ages, levels, and music styles.
